Our Supporters
The Goldfields Esperance Development Commission has provided significant ongoing support to Goldfields Esperance Community Foundation, by providing staff time and resources to assist in the establishment and ongoing management of the Foundation.  The State Government of Western Australia contributed the inaugural donation of $100,000 to Goldfields Esperance Community Foundation.

Advisory Committee
To ensure the activities of the foundation meet the needs of the community, local representatives have the opportunity to volunteer their time to become members of the Goldfields Esperance Community Foundation advisory committee.  The role of the advisory committee is to liaise with the wider community to grow the fund and to provide advice to the Trustee, Western Australian Community Foundation, regarding the distribution of funds in the region.

Fund Distribution

In 2010 the Goldfield Esperance Community Foundation provided much needed funding to students inconvenienced by distance, wishing to attend Rock Festival later this year.

Rock Festival, hosted by Goldfield Education Mining Industry Alliance (GEMIA), engages and informs young people about science and mining activities.

Goldfield Esperance Community Foundation awarded GEMIA a $2,200 grant this month to provide travel assistance for students living in remote WA and wishing to travel to Rock Festival.
