Grants
Western Australian Community Foundation's fund distribution program commenced in 2007 with the first grant made in the north west in June, closely followed by an initiative in the south of the state.
To date, over $300,000 has been distributed to support a wide range of communities and initiatives.
The Foundation’s financial model is a vehicle through which businesses, individuals and other groups can direct their giving to communities around the state.
All donations go towards building an endowed fund – a corpus invested in strategic long-term investments. As the base grows, so does the return on investment. Grants are made from the interest and dividends (return), so the corpus (endowed fund) remains and grows with additional donations.
