Domestic Abuse
Domestic and family abuse is a major social and public health issue.
Whilst anybody may experience domestic and family abuse, research shows that women are more likely to experience repeated and severe forms of abuse. Both domestic and family abuse include physical, sexual, emotional, psychological and financial abuse. Women and children who have exposure to domestic abuse encounter multifaceted challenges, and benefit greatly accessing dedicated and specialised services.

Women & Children First refuges provide short-term accommodation to women and children who are experiencing domestic and family abuse and/or are struggling with homelessness. Our support is focused on helping women and children to heal and rebuild their lives.
We welcome women and children of all backgrounds and ages, including temporary visa holders.
